Mustard Gas
Mustard Gas was a chemical weapon used by both sides in WW2. It is a gas that is heavier than air, so it was perfect for trench warfare. It was thrown into the trenches or just above them, so the gas settled into the lungs of the troops inside. Mustard Gas caused blisters on the skin and in the lungs. It was most famously used by Nazi-Germany in their death camps. Mustard Gas was first used in WW1.

Tear Gas
Tear Gas wasn't a deadly weapon. It was used to incapacitate soldiers. It was thrown into trenches and fortified positions as it was also a thick white gas. Tear Gas was used first in WW2 by both sides. It was used less in WW2 due to less trench warfare. Tear Gas mainly blinded the enemy, making the perfect target for a soldier.

Phosgene Gas was used in WW2. It was a gas that, in the lungs, would stop the blood from gaining oxygen, suffocating the victim. It was mainly a trench warfare weapon, as the enclosed spaces of a trench provided little escape from the deadly gas

Chlorine Gas
Chlorine Gas was used as a deadly weapon. Mainly used for trench warfare, when it combined with the mucus in the throat, it created a deadly acid. The acid would then slowly dissolve the victim's insides, killing them painfully.
